US PAPAYA is a California-based non-profit apolitical organization that was officially created on July 22nd 2011. The idea however; has been in the mind of its founders for a long time.
We come from different ethnic/social/religious/political backgrounds but what we have in common is respect for human life and dignity and our love for this country.
As the OWS movement expands with multiple confrontations between the police and the protestors, we are not taking sides. US PAPAYA finds itself at a cross point in its fledgling history as the core conviction of our organization is that there should be no sides. Everybody should be on the same side. The side that respects the 1st amendment of the Constitution but also respects the fact that the Police has a legitimate duty to the society.
